KBAC AGM – 14th Nov 2025
The AGM was held at the Killin Hotel on the 14th of November 2025
Committee Updates
Unfortunately we have had three retirements this year, Angus as Treasurer, Jill as Club Secretary and John as Vice President and Boat Convener. They will be sourly missed and the Club thanks them for all they have done over the years.
- Donald McLarty has been voted in as Vice President
- Andrew Forster has been voted in as Treasurer and will continue as Membership Secretary
- Ian Golledge has been voted in as Outings Convener
Presidents Statement
- The Committee has completed 32 actions this year with 18 actions being carried forward into 2026. The focus has been on reducing risk to the club and encouraging more people to participate and enjoy their fishing.
- The biggest expenditure for the club in 2025 has been the replacement jetty. Thanks to Albi and his team for doing a great job.
- Security around the boat shed has been improved including the introduction of CCTV
- The focus for 2026 will be boundary signage, Youth activities and Outings
River Temperatures
- In May this year the committee introduced a partial ban on Pike fishing due to the exceptionally warm water temperatures, fish struggle to recover once played out in the warm water. That was very hard to manage, going forward it was agreed that if the river water gets to 18c and above we will introduce a total ban until the heat wave passes.
Salmon Conservation
- At the meeting we discussed the Salmon season, its been the poorest in living memory, only 200 fish were recorded going up the Lochay.
- Rob Jamieson proposed that all Salmon should now be returned, this motion was agreed and adopted by the Club for the 2026 season
Trout Conservation
- At the AGM it was also agreed that all Trout under 12 inches (30 cm) should also be returned.
Outings
- Outings will start in April and will be organised for the 1st Sunday in the month
